The Government Contractor Awards honor the leadership, innovation, and commitment to excellence of the people and businesses in the region's government contracting community.

DMI was named Government Contractor of the Year in 2010 in the less than $25 million revenue category and was a finalist in 2011 in the $25 - $75 million revenue category. Factors that contributed to this recognition include some great testimonials from our customers and our business partners, terrific revenue growth, and most importantly, our employees—the fabric of our company.

Deloitte Technology Fast 50: 2008
Deloitte Technology Fast 500: 2008, 2005

The Deloitte Technology Fast 500 is a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, and life sciences companies in North America. The list is compiled from Deloitte's regional North American Fast 50 programs, nominations submitted directly to the Fast 500, and public company database research.

2008 rankings were based on percentage of fiscal year revenue growth over five years, from 2003-2007. DMI grew 366 percent during this period.

GovStar Star Workplace Finalist: 2011, 2010

GovStar honors local government contracting firms for their technology innovation, workplace environment, growth, veteran support and ability to overcome significant challenges.

DMI was named a finalist for the 2011 and 2010 GovStar Star Workplace awards, which are given to the Government contractor that has created a dynamic, fun workplace environment for its employees.

Tech Council of Maryland (TCM) Government Contracting Firm of the Year Award Finalist

The TCM Award recognizes the outstanding work and achievements of companies and individuals in the region that are helping Maryland to be one of the nation's premier technology states.

DMI was one of three finalists for the 2011 TCM Government Contracting Firm of the Year Award, which is given to a Government contractor that has proven its ability to provide exemplary service either as a prime or subcontractor.

Certifications

ISO 9001:2008 Certification

ISO 9000 is a family of standards for quality management systems that is maintained by ISO, the International Organization for Standardization. ISO 9001:2008 is the newest and most comprehensive program in the ISO family of standards, covering research, design, building, shipping and installing products and solutions.

DMI received its ISO 9001:2008 certification for project management of IT and account services for Federal and other government agencies, including the development of software.

ISO 20000-1:2005 Certification 

ISO 20000-1:2005 is a Management System certificate for the Provision of Information Technology Services. It promotes the adoption of an integrated process approach to effectively deliver managed services to meet business and customer requirements. For an organization to function effectively it has to identify and manage numerous linked activities. Co-ordinated integration and implementation of the service management processes provides the ongoing control, greater efficiency and opportunities for continual improvement.

DMI received its ISO 20000:1-2005 certification for demonstrating effective implementation of management systems for government agencies. 

ISO 27001:2005 Certification 

ISO 27001:2005 is an Information Security Management System certification that formally specifies a management system that brings information security under explicit management control. 

DMI received its ISO 27001:2005 certification for implementing proven processes for mitigating risk in information security.

CMMI Level 3

Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) maturity is increasingly recognized within the Federal Government as a measure of a company's capability to reliably deliver mission-critical software solutions. DMI's appraisal at CMMI Level 3 provides that third-party affirmation of the company's record of software development successes and opens the door to a new class of demanding software development opportunities for which CMMI Level 3 appraisal is a requirement.

DMI earned CMMI Level 3 from Carnegie Mellon's Software Engineering Institute (SEI) by demonstrating its implementation of a rigorous set of industry-standard processes for software development across the company. These processes help ensure DMI‘s ability to ensure consistency, quality, on-time, and within-budget delivery of software solutions.
